At those prices I wouldn't use the word 'steal' in the description...

There is always one more hole that needs a good filling!

As a Sabres fan, I hate the signings. I like both of these guys, and think they got a bad shake in TOR. NYI top six is looking good enough to squeak out a playoff spot. That lottery pick takes a big hit today.

Looks like NYI and WAS are stealing Penguins or potential Penguins. Just imagine the bargaining position for Sather when his forwards negotiate in light of the NYI signings? Actually think our goaltending is second only to Lundqvist in the Metro.

A steal all right, but whose hands are in whose pockets?

Clowe, Cammy. Both got more money from Jersey. Sure you want to go there?

The isles have really improved their roster, not just with Garbo/Kuli (actually not really a fan of either but should play well together) but with their goaltending. The Halak/Johnson combo should be good enough to help the isles compete for a wildcard spot.

I'm impressed with how hard snow has tried to improve this team and he has had to do it with mainly cast offs and overpayments. But with that combo in net they should be competitive. Good for them, it's been a looooooong time coming.

I don't think any flames fans should say anything about anybody overpaying considering what Engelland got

Nope. I'm an enormous fan of Jaroslav Halak- there's absolutely no way he's better than Sergei Bobrovsky. And he's also not as good as Schneider. The Isles have the 4th best goalie in the division- which, hey, better than last year, or any year for a while.

Yeah, first time I ever agree with a Rangers fan (above). Engelland for $3M per? Flames fans can never talk about other teams' bad signings again.
